Crimson Brilliance
16x20 Acrylic on stretched canvas
#2 in a four piece series. I did not like this piece until right about when it was done. It grew on me, though I do not feel that I managed to capture the same awesomeness as the original Blue Radiance [link] However since it is red and not blue, a different emotion is invoked upon seeing it.
What do you think? Comments welcome.

I think that it's very good, though it does bring to mind a different feeling than Blue Radience. However, I like it just as much because it's read. I think it's a great companion piece, and think it would like wonderful hanging together.

Thanks. I'm glad you like it. Hopefully the other two will be almost as good. I have them both started, but no where near done. Maybe in the next few weeks I'll get a bug to finish one. :)

I like the piece in blue better, I think because I just love blue color more... red work too agressive together with black ( just my opinion:) )
I like that you did more of the series, it's always nice to have some pieces which are connected :)

I would have to agree. I lean towards blue far more often than red. The series is four different colors though, so doing a red one was necessary. :)

I'm so glad you did another piece like blue radiance! cuz i really liked that one! This one is sweeeeeet, i love the title :D The way the red is coming out of the moon (the way it flares, i mean) is totally awesome. I agree with the previous entries that the blue one is a little better, but that doesn't detract from this one at all! :D
